One in five women are obese when they become pregnant, and evidence suggests that obesity is contributing to record-high rates of birth defects and deaths for mothers and babies.

Minority Health

Lack of access and education in our poorer communities is a huge threat to our state-wide health.  Communication is key to overcoming this problem.
