Disarray
After last night’s baffling fireworks at the Wake County School Board meeting, we have been left wondering what the heck this means for the future of schools in Wake County.
We are torn: should we be celebrating the vote rejecting the “neighborhood” schools under the premise of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” or should we be even more concerned that this Board seems completely unable to do anything constructive, logical, or remotely useful.
Either way, we were as encouraged about Ms. Goldman’s resolve as we were revolved by the ridiculously juvenile comments of Mr. Tedesco. It seems Tedesco is unable to remain mature, never mind civil, when he is no longer getting his way. Maybe now he understands how the rest of us have been feeling for months.
We wholeheartedly look forward to watching him not get his way again. And again. And again.
